Dubious beginning of my blog

A novel concept to be sure; the ability to post ones thoughts and commentary for anyone to read. Why is this so popular? The "blog". It has an odd ring to it. Is it narcissistic? Are people too isolated to share their thoughts with their friends? Are said friends too busy to listen? Or is the allure of being opinionated without a rebuttal too great? Or have folks simply tired of passively receiving too much information in the digital age?I may be guilty of all of the above and so I begin. Friends who are familiar with my opinionated nature will not be surprised I'm sure.
